I'm BAAAACK!

I would love to say i missed my very long vacation from blogging... but i didnt. This is post upon request by dear sweet friend(s) and since they are my transportation everywhere i didnt want to hinder that relationship.
This is Shantell Areila Marie Barney this is her blog

Othewise known as Shan, Shanni, Shanny, Shanbanan, SHAAANNTEEELL, Aw dang, and White girl.

She is my organic soul mate and puts clay on her face and coconut in her hair.

This girl puts the down in down to earth, and the Hip in Hippie. And despite popular assumption she is not a hipster.. she just posses hipster like qualities.

She says things like "energy, aura, vibes, feeling etc.." and she has an obssession with braids lately (you should see her pinterest.)

She is an adventerous one who is always passionate about something new. (as of lately its the coffee shop and as i mentioned earlier... braids.)

I always have the urge to pinch her cheeks but if i did she'd probably smell me... actually, she'd smell me anyways... did i mention she likes to smell EVERYTHING?

You can always count on her to make your day. she just shows up out of the blue and is like "hey, remember how cool i am, i love you, feed me." and then she just makes you feel so special as you chow down on grilled cheese and soup.

She always finishes her sentences with "Thats all"

This is my rendition of Shani being frustrated. I couldnt do her expressions justice seeing as i could not heave a *sigh* in this post.

i just cant help myself

All of my church leaders know i have quite an abnormal abstract veiw of things... some of which is not common in a 15 year old. In the past years i have had conversations with a variety of them on issues such as; who should be the next president (Ron Paul!)  socialized medicine (dont even get me started) The economy, organic foods, etc. i quite enjoy them, although i never really agree with any of them.
Despite all the array of topics discussed i've never found an opportunity to share my views on education... untill now that is.

The scene is this: sunday school, 6 girls, 4 leaders. not sure about the lesson topic but we were all going around, saying our names, and something unique about us.

Me: Hi, my name is Roma and i've been sober for 3 weeks.

* they all chuckle*

Me: Just joking.... well, i am quite infatuated with economics and philosophy.

Leader: which i would say is unique. Is that what you want to major in.

Me: Probably not. i dont plan on going to college becuase i believe school kills creativity. but if i find the need to teach myslef further then i shall do it.

Leader: Oh...

Probably not the best way to do it...i might as well have painted a target on my back. But i do believe it to be the beginning of great conversations

Getting to personal with others (updated)

This is Taylor This is hit blog
Otherwise known as Tay, babe, and whatever else you want to call him

A hipster by birth and an agnostic atheist by choice.
His logic is profound and his brain even greater.
He just gets you thinking, questioning i assure you your head will hurt by the time your done talking.

Taylors hobbies include teasing, math, and video games
He will never fail to make your day.
Without him i could never survive yearbook. He is my right hand man... who writes with his left.
Without him there would be NO yearbook.
He feels bad when he shouldnt. And says sorry when he should.
He's just a good soul.. (wait... do agnostic atheists have those?)
He does this when he's worried, when he's sorry, when he's stressed or just when he wants to... i dont think he is aware of when he does this
He always has the best jokes.. I think he might plan them ahead of time.
Taylor's vocabulary is bigger than Phil's head.. which is saying a lot.
He says things like "slap-doodle" and "Ineffably Grandiose"

Taylor has a unique walk... its a good one i assure you. it's one with an air of confidence and slight nerdyness. It is a walk no one can replicate (trust me, we've all tried... many times, as we walk behind him, sometimes mocking.)

Lets let Taylor tell you about himself.

          1. What was your first impression of Obama? " He seems like a fairly cool down-to-earth guy, I     simply disagree with nearly all of his beliefs and solutions to the problems of America."
          2. What are your top 3 books? "Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, Of Mice And Men."
          3. What is your favorite color? "Blue. it's calming, fluid and deep."
          4. whats your least favorite kind of music? "Probably rap music. Not to sound like i've been reading my for strength of youth, but the unwholesome lyrics and general hateful messages can be pretty depressing. Although there are some rap artists i throughly enjoy."
          5. What is your favorite time of day? " Evening. There is still a little bit of light, but not that bright crimson of the setting sun that reminds you just how you wasted another day."
          6. What is your favorite number? " 22? I don't know. I've never thought about it, although im sure there is one number that subconsciously sticks out in my mind as i count."
          7. Who is your favorite person to have a deep conversation with? " It depends on the nature of the conversation. For example, an extremely religious conversation, Alec Aguilar; Economics, Mr. Gee."

          8. What is something crazy you've always wanted to do? " Go skydiving? Travel the world, be ina relationship with a girl, etc.."
          9. What is the worst advice you've ever received? "Somebody told me to fill out a paper with questions once.."
         10. What is your favorite time of year? "I'm not to sure. Not fall, too sentimentally depressing, winter is pretty awesome. I guess winter."
         11. What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever done? " I embarrass myself all time, it all starts to blur together."

And that my friends, is Taylor

My fweak out in MAWF (says the kid in the seat behind me.)

Three days ago i was getting agitated at Pit Plugger and stupid angles so i decided to vent.. to my best friends little brother.
Blonde girl: I stole your lunch zac.
Me: "OH MY GOSH ZAC, HOW MANY TIMES DID I TELL YOU NOT TO LET GIRLS EAT YOUR LUNCH!'
Zac: (just picture a stunned confused face) "Never..."
Me: WELL I HAVE!
Zac: "It wasnt my fault, she just took it."
Me: "WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME! STOP GETTING SO WORKED UP. I TOLD YOU NOT TO BE SUCH A DRAMA QUEEN. STOP IT NOW... NOW. YOUR PUSHIN IS ZACHARY."
Zac; "i.. dont understand... like... what is happening."
Me: "WHY ARNT YOU DOING YOUR MATH. YOUR MOM TOLD YOU TO DO YOUR MATH! IT's EASY, IT'S JUST PYTHAG'S THEORY OR WHATEVER. "
Zac: "oh, ok, well i'll do it i guess."
* I go back to my seat...30 seconds of silence*
Zac: "hey, will you help me with #2"
Me: "Sure."

The Dj was stuck in the 80's

So, i thought i'd post about last weekend.
You see, i went to a dance.
not with a boy of course, but still, a dance.
Me, Sam, Mikele, Bryanna, Taylor and Jordan all decided to go stag..
Buuutt, then the cutest ones (mikele and bry) got asked.
(I just wanted to let you boys know that I had the opprotunity to be asked, but alas, i am sticking to my values! i will not date before i am 16! So it's not like i didn't get asked because i have garlic breath.. but that may have been part of it.)
So, What did i do?
The logical thing of course!
I asked Samantha Gibbs.
It was a gutsy thing. I was afraid of rejection.
i went up to her, took her hand and said...
"Samantha Gibbs, will you go to the dance with me!"
She stared at me for 30.5 seconder and then walked away.
So then i yelled "i NEW you'd say yes!"
So, Sam was my "date"
She's a very good dancer and she even filled up the car with gas!
But really, we just kinda joined the couple groups which consisted of Taft, Miranda, Peter, Bryanna, Jeff and Mikele aaand all those other people in the pictures above.
It was pretty splendid.
I did the chicken.
we almost did a dance off (the girls would've totally one)
Me and Sam interprited the dance.
I taught Miranda HOW to dance
The DJ only knew oldies (mabye cause he was one)
We told people they looked saucy.
Christian and Anna were the epitome of "awkward"
We made fun of people.
I danced with Taft, Jordan and Taylor (I request a Step stool next time)
We dinned afterward at Olive Garden
And, we all survived our dress emergencys.
(we reccomned NOT getting your dress the day of.)
It would've been better if Kelsey was there.

a piece for you.

There are always perks to being a girl.
One of them includes a pizza with your name spelled in pepperoni
